My take on this subject is that while it may be possible to take in all that we need from food alone, nutrient timing is something that also needs to be considered: the timing of specific macro and micro-nutrients around our training sessions in order to gain maximum benefit. Science has strongly suggested that certain nutrients, including BCAAs, contribute significantly more toward meeting out nutritional needs when ingested around the time you workout.
Take a look at what Charles Poliquin, one of the foremost strength coaches in the world, has to say on the subject.He has been using BCAAs around his workouts and has personally seen consistent results for more than 17 years.
In my experience, I have found that two scoops of USPlabs' Modern BCAA before and during a workout, followed by two scoops immediately after a workout, provides great results for me, as well as my clients, while not being a wallet stinger. And let's face it, who needs more pressure on their finances these days.
